Common Law Liability

If I live with a boyfriend (not married) and he declares bankruptcy, am I liable for any of his debts, and will any of my savings and/or property be taken to pay his debts?
Thanks

If your boyfriend or spouse goes bankrupt, you are not liable for their debts, unless you have co-signed for them.

Every situation is different, so we recommended that you contact a licensed bankruptcy trustee in Canada to review your specific situation.
