credit card bankruptcy

help,
my wife has declared personal bankruptcy and now her credit cards are coming after me. i was a second card holder on one of her cards but had never signed anything.

they have given me to friday to settle up on missed payments.

do i really have to pay for this???

If you are joint on the card, or if you had a card with your name on it and you used it, you are probably liable for the debt on the card.

If you never applied for the card, and never used it, you are probably not liable.

I would suggest that you ask the credit card company to prove that you are liable; if you are, contact a trustee (see links on the right hand side of this page) or a financial advisor to determine your options for dealing with this debt.
