unsecured credit

credit collector is threatening to have my wages garnisheed, i understand it isnt possible over unsecured credit, is this correct

No, you are not correct. If a creditor takes you to Court they may be granted the right to garnishee your wages.

Now, they cannot garnishee without a Court Order, but they are pretty easy to obtain. If you receive a notice from the Court saying you are being sued that’s the last warning you will receive – don’t ignore it. Either respond and appear in Court, or go and speak to someone about your debts.
