supplemental card question re debt

September 1st, 2009 by Questions

I have a supplementary card from my husband`s mastercard. I was trying to build up my small business, and ended up using the supplementary card to cover expenses. Due to the high interest rates, I`m having trouble getting the payment down. The amount owing on the supplemental card is $27,000. I also owe 21,000 on my Visa card. I really need to get these debts under control and would like to have a plan where I can pay an amount with a better interest rate. I know I am responsible for the debts on the supplemental card and don`t want to involve my husband in any way. Can I get a debt management plan for both the supplemental card and my own card, without involving him?

Unfortunately this is not possible. The moment you do anything other than pay the supplementary card as required by the lending institution you will impact your husband as he is fully responsible as the primary cardholder.
