collection

i have a collection agency calling me. It has been almost two years since I have paid anythig ad I truly can`t afford to I am single with four children and only make 14000.00 per year. I have no car, house etc. in my name. Will they ever just give up on collecting and write the debt off?

I find that it is not very common for the collection agencies to simply stop calling. While it will eventually happen it really depends on who the collection agencies are and how committed to collecting the debt they are. The only sure way to force them to stop would be by filing for bankruptcy.
