Usually, when you stop making your loan payment on a car loan that is through a bank, how long does it take before they repo the vehicle, do they call you first?

This really varies from situation to situation. I have seen it happen in a couple of weeks, I have seen it take 6 months. It partially depends on your previous payment history, how concerned the bank is or even how diligent the person handling your account is.
