Are exspenses i.e. for travel and food which are reimbursed from your employer considered surplus income?

The reimbursement would be considered part of your total income, but the surplus guideline has a section for non-discretionary expenses of which expenses as a condition of employment are part of. So as long as you provide the receipts with your Income and Expense Statement to your trustee those expenses will be subtracted out of your total income before determining the payment.
