What happens if I get married during my bankruptcy? if I marry my boyfriend during my bankruptcy do we have to include both incomes? He will still have his bills and I will have my bills. Everything is still going to be separated.

You don’t necessarily have to disclose his income, as that is your option, but the change in the family size must be reported and that may change the calculation that is used for your potential surplus payments. If you’ve already filed a bankruptcy, it would be worthwhile to speak to your trustee about the change in your household and how that may affect your bankruptcy when either disclose or choose not to disclose his income.
