Advice

February 29th, 2012 by Questions

Me & my husband have almost 80000 consumer loans, He is getting around 4200 a month but we have 3 children and still renting. Lately we are behind in all credit payments and mostly asking for full repayment. I was out of job for a long time and just got into the labor force recently which added about 600 to 800 to our net income. Both of us are so stressed out as we are receiving so much calls already. I need your advise.

My advice is pretty simple. Go see a local trustee. They will provide a free consultation, review your situation and then help you to understand a number of options (i.e. consolidation loans, consumer proposals, bankruptcy etc.). The trustee is legally required to review all of your options and is the only professional who is trained to do so. This meeting will help you no not only get a 3rd party perspective of what is possible, but help you to better understand those options as well.
