Would Debt Settlement be an option for me?

July 23rd, 2009 by Questions

I currently owe approximately $18000-$20000 to unsecured debt (ie. visa, mastercard and a line of credit), I was wondering if debt settlement would be the right route for me to take? I am currently struggling to make my monthly payments, I hit a patch of bad luck last year and have been struggling to get back of my feet since. I would really rather not claim bankruptcy as I don`t want to lose my vehicle or anything else. I`ve never missed a car loan payment, nor have I missed paying a month of rent. Please let me know if this is a worthy option for me or what else could be suggested.

Based on the information that you have provided, I think you should definitely consider a debt settlement program. The worst thign that can happen is the debt settlement agency will suggest you speak to a trustee if they don’t feel their solution is right for you.
