Need Help!

January 21st, 2013 by Questions

My mother in law is a senior and is in debt by $ 11,000 a month but just does not see the end of her debt! Under credit counselling would she have to give up her credit card if she goes through this! And if so would it not be as wise to go to a credit proposal route?

Your mother-in law should book an appointment to meet with a credit counsellor or a trustee. If she decides to see a credit counsellor just make sure they are legitimate. There are quite a few companies psoing as debt consultants and credit counsellors that are simply charging fees to refer you to a trustee… Do your homework on whomever she goes to see.

Whatever solution she decides to follow, she is going to have to give up her credit cards. You can’t have your cake and eat it too.
