Can I keep my Car?

I bought my car 4 years ago for cash. It’s retail value is about $10,000. I own the car free and clear. Can I keep my car in a consumer proposal? My debt is about $22,000.

When you file a consumer proposal your assets do not vest in the Trustee. Therefore, if the terms of the proposal are accepted you can keep your car.
