With a consumer proposal, can you still have a small amount of money in the bank? Can you still have a credit card to keep with a zero balance? After filing a consumer proposal, in about 1-2 years, if come into money,, can you pay off the consumer proposal without penalty? Thank you.

With a consumer proposal you are able to keep a small amount of money in your account so that you are able to pay your normal monthly living expenses. In terms of a credit card, you can not keep a credit card, regardless of whether there is a balance owing on it or not.
As for the ability to pay it off in the future without a penalty, you have this ability as well.
Hopefully this helps!
