True or not
November 12th, 2012 by Questions
A trustee i talked to, about a consumer proposal concluded our meeting by mentioning a $ 1,800 fee for first payment.
Then discussed two $900 payments in the
place of fee amount, These payments would be applied as two months payment of my 48 month C. Proposal term. Am i O.K.

Most trustees do not require any kind of up-front payments – you are either dealing with a trustee that does not handle a lot of proposals, or you have spoken to a debt consultant that is chareging you a fee BEFORE you actually meet with a trustee.
MY advice – call another trustee BEFORE you decide what to do. The worst thing that can happen is you have another trustee confirm your plan. The best – you save the upfront fee…
