Death during a Consumer Proposal

July 25th, 2012 by Questions

If a person is in a consumer proposal and one day just happens to die what happens to the consumer proposal with all that debt?  Can the creditors come after your estate, life insurance, etc.

Unless the estate pays the proposal prior to any default in performance then yes the creditors can come after the estate.
