Although I am not able to incorporate a company while going through consumer proposal, can I become an officer of an incorporated company?

Who told you that you cannot incorporate while you are in a proposal – no such restriction exists. Similarly, you may be an officer and/or director of a corporation while in a proposal – it’s only when you file for bankruptcy that you cannot be an officer or director (by the way, you can incorporate a new business whil eyou are bankrupt too).
Call your trustee if you have any more questions about this.
