Response to calls or letters
March 12th, 2012 by Questions
I am filing my consumer proposal in a few weeks. I have missed credit card payments for the past month. If I receive calls from the creditors during this time, “Is it best to respond and should I tell them about filing.

Certainly, honesty is always the best policy and it is easier to remember…
If you know you are going to file then you may already have a trustee – give them a call and ask if you are allowed to tell your creditors who you’ll be using (in that way, the creditors can call and confirm your story). Not all trustees will take creditor calls before you file, so ask your trustee before you start giving ourt their number.
