Credit Card

March 9th, 2012 by Questions

I filed a consumer proposal in February and was wondering if after filing I received a credit card from another bank that I deal with. Does this need to be turned over to the trustee as it was obtained after the proposal was filed?

You should contact the company that issued the card, make certain that they are aware of your proposal and then, if they will allow you to keep and use the card, you may do so.

If you simply use the card without informing the credit card company about your proposal and anything goes wrong in the future, you may be in a lot of trouble…
