I owe the total of $28000 in credit cards, unsecured debts, and payday loans(2). I work, we are a family of two, my daughter and myself. My daughter is not working, she is a student. I rent, and do not have a vehicle. How much money would be a consumer proposal per month?
Thank you.

MaryAnn,
If there is nothing unusual you will find that you need to offer approx. 1/3 of your total unsecured debt. This would put you at a payment of roughly $160 per month. However, you need to be cautious with this estimate. It is difficult to know for certain if there is any component of your situation that will change this (i.e. level of income, presence of any major assets, existing cash flow etc.).
To know for sure you are best to contact a local trustee.
