credit agency

some credit agencies says that they work for us debtors and trustees work for the benifits of creditors first.
What are your thoughts?

We hear this argument quite often – that credit agencies and debt consultants work for you. Here’s the problem with that statement. These agencies have no legal standing and offer no reral protection. Many will “work with you” long enough to collect their fee and then refer you to a trustee to file a consumer proposal.
The best way to think of a trustee is as a referee – our job is to administer bankruptcies and proposals and no one else in Canada is able to do that. At times we appear to be working for you, at other times for the creditors. At the end of the day our task is to get everyone through the process.
