adding to a consumer proposal

November 16th, 2011 by Questions

Since starting my consumer proposal a year ago, I needed cash for an emergency so used a high interest payday loan which now has become out of hand. The interest is so high that I need to keep reborrowing. Can my trustee add this to my proposal?

Sorry, but you cannot add a debt that did not exist at the time you filed your consumer proposal to the proposal. You should contact your trustee to disucss the other options that you have to deal with your payday loans.
