Once you have decided to file a consumer proposal and the trustee has everything ready, when are payments started? Is it from the day the proposal is accepted or from the day you file?

This depends on what is written into the consumer proposal. At my office we always have the payments begin the date the proposal is singed. But it is best to confirm what is required directly with the trustee you will be using.
