If the consumer proposal did not work you will likely have to consider filing for bankruptcy

September 16th, 2011 by Questions

My wife had a consumer proposal. She could not continue paying it. Her consumer proposal was cancelled. The big problem is that the trustee originally marked her monthly income way too high when obviously she did not have any income. What can be done in this situation because she does not want the creditors to come after her?

If the consumer proposal did not work you will likely have to consider filing for bankruptcy if you want to continue to benefit from the creditor protection.
