Trustee
August 8th, 2011 by Questions
How do you deal with a trustee that has not fullfilled their obligations? Wage garnishments were used to pay for debts and trustee was to communicate when payments towards debts should start. NO communication was given even after phone calls were made to ask when payments should start. No debt management was given either. Actually no communication at all was given.

I suspect you aren’t/weren’t dealing with a trustee at all – you probably saw a debt consultant presenting themselves as a trustee… Regradless, contact the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy. This is the government agency that licences trustees and monitors the illegal activites of debt consultants.
For other people reading this post – you may protect your self by simply asking to see your trustee’s licence (most of us have them hanging on our offcie walls). If they don’t have a licence then they are not a trustee and you should not be delaing with them… If they are not a trustee they will simply charge you a fee and then refer you to a trustee to do the actual work. save your money – go straight to a trustee first.
