HOW LONG BEFORE I CAN APPLY FOR CREDIT ON A CONSUMER PROPOSAL?

You can apply for credit at any time during a the proposal. Now the question is will you be approved? That is up to the institution you are dealing with, and usually it is more difficult as the proposal is still in process. But the quickest way to get some type of credit is with a secured credit card (try capital one). The other thing you must ask is whether or not you need/want more credit. If overuse of credit was one of the things that contributed to your economic woes perhaps some time without would be a good idea.
