i am a cosigner on a car loan

I am currently a cosigner on a car loan, for my husband. Can his car be taken if i file a consumer proposal?

It cannot be taken simply because you (or for that matter he) file a consumer proposal or bankruptcy. If he is at all nervous, he should call the lender BEFORE you file and warn them that they may receive notice of your proposal. Then he can ask them directly whether or not he will have any problems.
