Rarely is an employer notified in the event of a consumer proposal. The only circumstances in which I would typically notify one’s employer are if:
a) There is a garnishee that I have to stop;
b) If you owe your employer money.
Otherwise there is no need for the employer to even be aware of the consumer proposal.
