would I qualify?
May 24th, 2011 by Questions
I’m on title on my moms house and my share is only 11%. My siblings and I helped her get a loan to do renovations and to pay off some personal bills. We pay some money on a monthly basis. There is equity in the house. I don’t live in the house. Would I qualify to file for a consumer proposal?

The presence of equity in your mothers property doesn’t prevent you from being able to file a consumer proposal. However, the presence of this equity must be considered when crafting the consumer proposal, but contact a local trustee and they will assist you with determining the type of offer that will be required.
