i am wondering if i could do a consumer proposal with just one creditor, i can’t afford my truck payment anymore and the said they are going to garnish my wages?

One of the requirements that must be fulfilled when filing a consumer proposal is that it must be made to all your creditors, you can’t simply pick and choose. Another issue you may run into is that a consumer proposal is not applicable to secured creditors (i.e. your car loan), assuming you want to keep the property that they are secured against (i.e. the vehicle). If you want to clear yourself form this type of debt you would need to first return the vehicle.
