Advise about credit cards

Reading other sites i came across a few times that you might be able to retain your credit cards that have no balance but in one question on this its being said you have to turn them in why our their differences is it just the trustee that is doing this or what do you suggest so it can be determined what route to go

Here is a good post about credit cards and bankruptcy. But essentially the legislation reads that you can only keep a credit card, regardless of the balance owing on it, if you have a letter from the credit card company or from the 3rd party the card is issued to. This letter must be provided to your trustee at the time of sign-up instead of the card.

Now I can’t speak to what other sites say or the practices of other trustees, but legally this is what must be done.
