Consumer proposal
February 4th, 2011 by Questions
Can I file a consumer proposal three months after I sold my convenience store? I paid some of my debts when I sold the store but I can\’t keep up with my other debts.

Technically it is possible, but there may be some difficulties depending on who you paid off and the reasons behind that. What I would recommend is you contact a local trustee, make sure you discuss all the details about the sale of the store and the way you distributed the monies as this may play a major role in how or if a consumer proposal can be filed.
