When asked – have u filed for bankruptcy?

If a CP was filed and u r asked \”have you filed for bankruptcy?\” – can you answer NO? If you try to apply for loan what are the implications?

If you have never filed for bankruptcy then you can honestly answer that you have never filed for bankruptcy. If they ask you if you have ever filed a consumer proposal, or if they ask you if you have ever declared yourself to be insolvent then the answer will be yes.
If you are applying for credit in the future the fact that you filed a proposal will show on your credit bureau report for up to three years after you complete the proposal. After that time, if someone doesn’t ask you then you are not required to tell them…
