after a consumer proposal

December 27th, 2009 by Questions

We are 2 months into a consumer proposal and now have some company shares with my husband`s employer that we can cash. The only brokerage we can use is a bank that is one of our creditors, can we use them to cash the shares or would they be able to take the money?

There should not be any problems cashing out the shares, but you should contact the trustee handling your proposal and discuss this with them before you do – just to be sure.
