After Creditor Proposal is accepted

Can people find out if I have an accepted creditor proposal, i.e. I am insolvent?

If they want to they can. The fact is not published in any paper or book, but if they were to search the government website for filing information, your name would appear. Of course they’d need a reason to think of doing this. There is a cost for each search and very few people other than trustees use the site.

The fact that you have a filed a proposal will appear on your credit bureau report too – so anyone checking your credit history during the proposal (and in the 3 years following the proposal) will see it listed in the legal section.
