Liens & Consumer Proposals

If a lien on my home was put in place by one of the creditors (who is now part of the consumer proposal `deal`), prior to the registration of the proposal, shouldn`t the lien have been lifted upon its acceptance?

The lien isn’t going to be removed until the proposal is finished and even then it will likely sit against title, with no debt behind it until you have someone remove the lien. If you need the lien removed during the proposal, it is more challenging but can be done and I would recommend discussing this with your trustee.
