Proposals and Chequing Account

August 9th, 2009 by Questions

I`m pondering a proposal, and in doing so, opened a new chequing account at a bank I don`t currently deal with, as my current account is with a creditor. That being said, the new bank granted me an account with $3500 (!!!) in overdraft protection. Do I need to open yet another account without overdraft, or can that simply be shut off?

You don’t have to allow the bank to provide overdraft protection for your account. Simply give them a call and cancel it.
