What to do next????

I have just filed for a consumer proposal last week and yesterday unexpectedly was giving two weeks notice from my job. What will happen next? I have some RRsps left but it has dwindle down because I`ve have to use them to live because my employment has not been steady in the past 7 years.

First you need to contact the trustee you filed this consumer proposal with and inform them that there has been a material change to your income situation.

At this point you should discuss whether you have the ability to meet the payment obligations as required by the proposal, or if due to this change in income a bankruptcy might now be a better fit.
