I am joint on an account with my mother but this is not my money

i am looking at a consumer proposal. when mentioning my assets/bank accounts, i am joint on an account with my mother. but this is not my money, it is her`s. bascially i am on the account in case she needs banking done.

The rules surrounding this type of joint asset are very specific so it is necessary for you discuss things local trustee. Likely this won’t cause significant issues as long as you can substantiate that none of the monies in the account relate to you or your income.
