RBC and seize vehicle?
February 10th, 2009 by Questions
My spouse is preparing to declare bankruptcy. I am filing a consumer proposal. My husband and I finance a truck through RBC (joint account). I understand that RBC has a policy to seize vehicles if bankruptcy is declared. Would this be the case in our situation (I am doing a consumer proposal)?

The only way to know for sure is to contact RBC. When there are two names on the vehicle and only one is filing bankruptcy I wouldn’t expect them to seize the vehicle, but with RBC you can never really tell.
