Question

I have recently filed consumer proposal over the past couple of months. The other day I received a statement from Alberta Health Care showing that they had put a credit towards the amount I owed them due to my assignment in bankruptcy. I only owed them about $180 and I did not list it with my proposal because I didn`t consider it at the time. My question is… how did they get the information about my proposal and ultimately become included? Does this mean that anyone can get the information even if I don`t owe them money (i.e. my bank and cell phone provider etc?) Does this have a negative impact on my AHC coverage?

I don’t know how AHC got this information but you may want to pose this question to your trustee. However, it won’t have any negative impact on your coverage, it will simply clear you of your outstanding balance and let the billing start fresh.
