If I am thinking of a consumer proposal does my spouses assets/income need to be involved in it or can I apply for this myself on my own for my own debts???

If you want to file a consumer proposal you will need to disclose the presence of your spouse and her income. Her assets typically aren’t going to impact anything, but her income will make a small difference.
Failure to do so could be considered as fraudulent and ultimately cause and proposal make and settlement arrived at as a result null and void.
The best thing to do is simply disclose all this to the trustee and the process will be fairly smooth.
