Proposal Payment

September 22nd, 2008 by Questions

Barton,

I am planning on filing a consumer proposal with your firm, but I am wondering what the policy is for the first proposal payment.

Do I have to pay a payment up front when I meet with you to file the papers? Or do payments start when it is accepted?

The first payment needs to come in when you file the papers. This is the date that everything is measured from so we prefer if the money comes in at that time so you are not starting off in a hole.

Now we understand if you need a couple of weeks and will often do a proposal and simply have the payment made at a time that is easier for you (i.e. somewhere around your pay day), but it is not my preference.
