my wife

September 13th, 2008 by Questions

I have a good paying job. My mortgage is both my name and my wifes.
I have credit card , loans which total around 40,000. Our mortgage has a very high monthly payment and is a bad deal. We are currently working on getting refinaced but mothing yet. As a result I have had trouble with payments.

Can I file a consumer proposal that and not affect my wife or the mortgage?

Thanks

As long as your wife did not co-sign, or guarantee your unsecured debts then yes, you may file a consumer proposal to sort out your debts and it will not affect her or the mortgage. Use the links to find a trustee in your area to get started…
