Credit Repair after Consumer Proposals
September 18th, 2008 by Questions
I had a bill go to collections but it was part of your consumer proposal.
Will purge from the system three years from the date of the consumer proposal?
Or
Will collection account remain on your credit report for six years as a collection account?

It should be purged from the system 3 years form the date of completing the consumer proposal. But I would suggest you simply contact the credit bureau directly, they have a dispute resolution process that you can follow when there is incorrect information listed.
