IF you file a consumer proposal and your husband has a joint line of credit you will be cleared from that line of credit and therefore no longer be responsible for the debt. However, your husband will not bereleased from this debt and will be fully responsible for this line of credit as your filing a proposal cannot release anyone else from debts they have signed on.
