If I had donated shares to a family member prior to bankruptcy , and they were of no market value at the time , can they be seized .

The key consideration here is whether you can prove that the shares that were transferred had no market value. Additionally, when they were transferred is going to be something that is taken into consideration. If you’ve already filed a bankruptcy, have a discussion with your trustee about the donation and if not, it would be a good idea to contact an insolvency lawyer about it.
