Will a 20 year old Bankruptcy show up anywhere?
February 2nd, 2014 by Questions
I declared bankruptcy 20 years ago (1993). If I declared again, would there be a record of that that could be traced? Would it be imperative that I disclose this if declaring bankruptcy again?

Yes it will – you are required to disclose the prior bankruptcy to your trustee. Your trustee is required to do a search through the government records dating back to the 1970s to see if you have filed before. If you don’t disclose the bankruptcy from the 90’s and your trustee finds it then you may have some explaining to do… As in, what else have you decided not to tell your trustee about?
