8 years after discharge

December 8th, 2013 by Questions

Its been 8 years since I was discharged from bankruptcy. It no longer appears in my credit reports.
Now that I am looking to buy a franchise , I am wondering if it can still be detected thus be a hurdle ?

As soon as you are discharged from bankruptcy you are no longer required to disclose the fact that you were bankrupt – unless some one asks. That never changes. The fact that your bankruptcy no longer appears on your credit report means the only way anyone should ever find out about your bankruptcy is if they ask you – then you are required to tell them that you once were. Sorry, but that never changes…
