Tax Refund
August 14th, 2013 by Questions
I will be receiving a refund from the CRA due to a reassessment. The year(s) of the reassessment are prior to my bankruptcy. Does this money get taken by my trustee and put into the bankruptcy? I’ve already been discharged from my bankruptcy, if that changes anything.

Tax refunds for the year you file bankruptcy and all previous years belong to your creditors – regardless of when you file or if you have been discharged. CRA should pay your refund directly to your trustee.
