If my husband decides to declare bankruptsy and we are joint in most of the debt, do I end up inhereting more debt than him.

I am sorry, but if your husband declares bankruptcy then you become 100% responsible for all of your joint debts. You can’t be hgeld responsible for anything that was just in his name, but everything that has both your names on it will be yours to deal with.
